ASK and Nerda Organization for Diplomacy and Public Relations held a one-day workshop in Sulaymaniyah. The event drew interest from thirty youths, 67% female, with twenty selected to attend.

ASK, in collaboration with Sulaymaniyah's General Directorate of Education, held two AI lectures for Education Trainers. Dr. Nahla Saeed from the Kurdistan Institute led the lectures, covering AI history, types, applications, and ethics.

2024 Activities
7 Empowering Youth with Leadership Skills
To better serve Sulaymaniyah, ASK transitioned from the Komar City Council to the Komar Youth Program (KYP) in September 2024. Ms. Gasha Khalid developed recruitment documents and an online survey, establishing the program with four members by November. By December 19th, KYP expanded to ten members and twelve volunteers. Training for KYP members began on December 22, 2024.

6 Ideal Use of AI by University Students
ASK conducted a two-day workshop titled "Ideal Use of AI by University Students" on November 23 and 30, 2024. Dr. Nahal Saeed delivered lectures to 15 students, covering AI history, types, applications, and ethical considerations. The program aimed to enhance students' skills with AI technology and concluded with a Q&A session.

5 Work Skills in Travel Agency
ASK launched the "Empowering Youth with Market Skills" project as part of the Komar Program for Developing Kurdistan. From October 27 to November 7, 2024, 27 selected participants attended lectures and practical sessions on work skills in travel agencies. The program concluded with testing and certificates based on performance.

The American Society for Kurds (ASK) launched a project to assess the drinking water quality in elementary schools across Sulaymaniyah as part of the Komar Program for Developing Kurdistan. This initiative served as a public service and provided practical training for ASK’s summer 2024 interns.
